The Irony of Potty Training- Postcards from the Herd

After having a really rough day yesterday, where I was yelling at everyone and none of the kids were behaving, my youngest Child, LLL, who is in the midst of potty training, went to the bathroom, sat on her potty, and went number two without even telling me she needed to go. Parents who have potty trained a kid (or 4, in my case) know what a huge deal this is… And it made me really excited and happy. Then the irony of the situation dawned on me… My child crapping on the toilet made my really bad day all better. This is one of those things people don’t tell you about parenting ahead of time. The crap cancelled out the other crap. So I present to you the new Postcard From the Herd!

True Story! It happened yesterday morning at our house! In my defense, I don’t just let the dirty dishes pile up for days… I do them at least once a day…. But with 4 kids home all day, everyday, the dishes pile up FAST. And they eat cereal like a bunch of locusts, so the spoons go quickly!
